Dental implants
An implant is a small titanium post placed in the jaw where a tooth used to be. Once it has bonded with the bone, a porcelain crown is attached on top. You brush and floss it like any other tooth.
We plan every implant on a 3D scan so we know the exact position before the day of surgery. Placement itself usually takes under an hour with local anaesthetic.
The post heals for three to four months while the bone grows around it. During that time you wear a temporary tooth, so there is never a gap on show.
Implants can replace one tooth, several, or anchor a full arch of teeth for people who are tired of loose dentures.

Do you take my insurance?
We are in network with Delta Dental, Cigna, Aetna, MetLife, and more. If you are not sure, send us a photo of your card and we will check before your visit.
What if I do not have insurance?
Our membership plan covers two cleanings, exams, and X-rays for a flat yearly fee, with a discount on everything else. Ask at the front desk or on the booking form.
How soon can I be seen?
Routine visits are usually available within two weeks. Emergencies are seen the same day at whichever studio has the first opening.
I have not been to a dentist in years. Will I get a lecture?
No. We are glad you are here. Your first visit is a longer appointment so we can get a full picture and agree on a plan together, at your pace.
Do you see children?
Yes, from their first tooth. Dr. Castillo sees most of our younger patients, and both studios have a quieter room for first visits.
